Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination allowed her to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she could read or write and compose her own songs. Her first guitar purchase came at age 8 and started singing at an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. The same time, Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. While in high school, she made herself known to the local community, however her dream was greater. The singer moved to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host at the time was searching for a singer for his show. Parton was a part of the Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing in 1969 with RCA Records. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974 after her own hits such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene beat out the collaborations. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner, wrote"I Will Never Love You and made it to No. Its first appearance at number 1 was in 1974.
