Sheryl Underwood, a American television personality and comedian, is best known as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood was born and raised in Arkansas and grew up within Little Rock, Atwater, and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of an extremely troubled family. She was a troubled child. growing up taking care of her older sister Frankie who was afflicted by an illness called polio. As a teenager, she experienced many issues with her mother. Sheryl alleges that, for instance she was stabbed by her mother's father when he became too close to her. Sheryl was a soldier after her college graduation. Her passion for the military was comedy. She became the first female winner of the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV career in 1992 appearing as a frequently performing performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as host of the T.V. program Oh Drama! Presently, she is a co-host on Talk Talk since the year 2011. In addition, she has a fictional role in shows like Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
