Her graduation from Germantown Friends School in the city of Germantown in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, in 1994. She then attended Harvard College, where she received a Bachelors in Arts degree. Welker has been married for over 20 years with John Hughes who is a famous marketing director at Merck Philadelphia. The couple are parents to two children. They began an affair in 2014 when they began to date. John her husband, who is 4 years younger than her.
